Carpe Diem Screenprint with Lightbox
The text is latin and translates as ‘seize the day’.
This lightbox is a mixed medium of high quality absorbant white paper and white translucent perspex. The design is black, grey and red ink screenprinted onto translucent perspex and the white paper. This the image is mounted on a wooden frame and is illuminated by a 6w fluorescent strip light. Like all of the lightboxes they bring a room or environment alive with an interesting element and subtle a light source. The irony and dark humour are there to be enjoyed as with a lot of the pieces created and available here.
All the lightboxes and screenprints are unique as they will all have natural imperfections. Nothing is thrown away, nothing is perfect.
